Everyone loves to travel, there’s no doubt about that. However, there is one thing that all travelers secretly (or not-so-secretly) loathe, and that’s packing. Even if you have your travel itinerary planned down to the last minute, you’ll always pick up one outfit or one pair of shoes and think to yourself, well maybe I’ll need this.

In other instances, it’s the battle of carry-on vs. checked luggage. Let’s face it; luggage is very expensive and purchasing a small, medium and large-sized suitcase just so that you’re prepared for any trip can really add up. That’s why news of a revolutionary piece of luggage called, Fugu is quite possibly the best news frequent flyers have heard in a long time.

Fugu promises to eliminate the need for more than one piece of luggage. With the push of a button, this one suitcase can easily transform from a carry-on to a full-sized bag within seconds. What started as a means to fill a void quickly transformed into a Kickstarter project that has already raised $300,000. Considering the fact that Fufu’s designers had only set their original goal at $50,000, it’s extremely clear that interest in this new product is very, very high.

Because the walls of Fugu are made using the same material as surfboards, they are both waterproof and shock absorbing, ensuring that your things are completely protected. It’s not all about what’s on the outside, however. Fugu also comes with built-in shelves so that you don’t have to unpack at your hotel if you don’t want to. It’s the complete, all-in-one piece of luggage that we didn’t even know we were missing!
